Wir kommen gegen Mittag an und parken etwas ausserhalb. Wir haben uns vorgenommen alles zu Fuß zu machen, was auch gut geht, da alles sehr nahe beieinander liegt. Über die alte Brücke mit schönem Blich auf die Stadt und die Marienfeste geht’s in die Innenstadt. Auf der Brücke stehen schon jetzt Gruppen mit Sekt und Weingläsern und lassen sich es gut gehen. Dazu gibt es Häppchen und Musik von 2 Sängern, die wettstreiten.

Gleich nach der Brücke ist man in der Innenstadt. Rathaus, Dom und mehrere Kirchen. Auf dem Marktplatz ist noch Markt und wir kaufen Zwetschgen. Reif, Süss und super lecker. 2 € das Kilo. Man glaubt es kaum und es gibt die typischen kleine fränkischen Gurken zum Einmachen, 100 Stck 5 Euro. Lustige Einheit! Die Fußgängerzone bietet die üblichen Geschäfte und wenig Besonderes. Na ja, doch, es gibt ein paar kleine Lädchen, wie ich Sie noch von vor 40 Jahren aus Bamberg kenne. Verrückt. Irgendwie als ob die Zeit stehen geblieben wäre.
