Das Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) ist sicherlich eines der bedeutendsten Sammlungen modernerer und zeitgenössischer Kunst.Natürlich muss man mit einer Million weiterer Touristen da rein. Drinnen verläuft es sich dann doch relativ gut und man muss nicht vor jedem Bild anstehen. Die Ausstellung selbst ist auf vielen Ebenen mitten im Zentrum von Manhattan untergebracht. Zum Teil in neuer Architektur von Yoshio Taniguchi aus 2002 bis 2004. Alle großen Namen sind betreten. Zum Teil mit den bekanntesten Werken, die man so im Kopf hat. Ein spannende und guter Querschnitt. Danach sind wir dann aber trotzdem überrascht, wie wenig wir gesehen haben und wieviel da wohl in den Lagern und Magazinen schlummern muß.
